Pray for Wales

This stone serves as a prophetic statement that intercession belongs in the public square and not merely within church buildings.

In Scripture, Ebenezer stones were established as markers of remembrance and faith. The altar in 1 Samuel 7 was built as a declaration that ‘Thus far the Lord has helped us.’ But these stones spoke not only of remembrance, they activated faith for what God would continue to do in the future.

This Ebenezer stone was installed as part of the Seven Cities Prayer Pilgrimage, pioneered by 24-7 Prayer GB.

We invite you, whenever you pass this stone, to pray for the city.

Letters to the cities

In Revelation, we find seven letters, to seven churches in seven cities, written by Jesus. They serve as a timeless reminder of the presence of Jesus among his people and the heart of Jesus for his people as we witness to him in this world. They also serve as a timely inspiration for the Seven Cities Prayer Pilgrimage. As we have prayed and we gather the churches across these cities we unite under the banner of Jesus, but also an opportunity to ask what might the Spirit be saying to the churches in our cities today.

What might the heart of Jesus be towards these seven cities? How can we see the unfolding purposes of God across the whole of Wales as we listen to the words of Jesus:’Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches’ (Revelation 2:7)

These letters were written by Owen Cotton. Owen is on the leadership team at 100 Cymru, where he serves as Head of Prayer. Owen is also Elder and Vision Lead at Grace Church Cardiff and holds a master’s in theology. He is the author of two books. Owen is a friend of 24-7 Prayer in Wales and is passionate about prayer in Wales.

Prophetic Poems

24-7 Prayer GB exists to revive the Church and rewire the culture in Wales and England. Cath Woolridge, the 24-7 Prayer Wales National Lead, was led by the Holy Spirit to bring people and churches together across Wales to unite in prayer.

Cath and her husband Dai wrote a prophetic poetic letter to each city, as a heart cry for the nation of Wales and its regions.

The Seven Cities Prayer Pilgrimage

The Seven Cities Prayer Pilgrimage seeks to gather the Church of Wales into unity, prayer, and mission through seven strategic prayer gatherings across Wales’ seven cities. This initiative flows from the heartbeat of the 24-7 Prayer movement: to awaken the Church to pray, to mobilise intercession, and to dream again with God for cities and nations. Psalm 126 acts as the prophetic lens for the pilgrimage, giving voice to a spiritual return, renewal, and awakening: ‘When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed.’

The first leg of the tour took place in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport in October 2026, with the second leg of the tour coming to St Davids, Wrexham, St Asaph and Bangor in spring 2027.
