Praying for Swansea

1. Depth in Jesus, Rooted Faith, Hope and Joy

Pray for:

  • People across Swansea — whether new to faith or not — to deepen their relationship with Jesus.
  • Faith to become deeply rooted, establishing firm foundations in individuals, churches and the city.
  • A solid hope and an overflowing joy to grow from lives rooted deeply in Christ.

2. Unity & Kingdom Cooperation

Pray for:

  • Relationships across Swansea’s churches to be strengthened through prayer and the Gospel, with leaders growing in trust and genuine love for one another.
  • A unity that is real and costly, built on the Word of God, centred on the core truths of the Gospel, and able to hold differences with grace.
  • Kingdom cooperation in which churches prefer one another, work together, and create space for young people to rise into who they are in Christ.

3. Revival, Salvation & the Visible Kingdom

“Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.” — Psalm 85:9

Pray for:

  • The fear of the Lord to fall afresh on His people, leading to lives that live for Jesus and the truth of salvation.
  • God’s glory to dwell in the land, reviving and restoring communities across Swansea and beyond, and for the song of Wales to again become a song of salvation.
  • Those who do not yet believe to see the Kingdom of God through His people, through lives marked by the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  • People facing addiction or depression to encounter the hope found in Jesus through His people.

4. Mission, Young Adults & New Leaders

Pray for:

  • Ongoing ministries in Swansea Prison, schools and Street Pastors to be fruitful, strengthened and able to grow.
  • New works among young adults to blossom, with fresh leaders emerging from this generation.
  • New initiatives and new church plants, especially among the least reached parts of the city.
  • Young adults and emerging leaders to find their place in Christ and become part of what God is doing across Swansea.

As we pray for Swansea: As we lift Swansea before God, let us also lift our eyes and our hearts to the nation, praying earnestly for all of Wales — for healing, unity, renewal, hope and salvation across our cities, towns, valleys and communities.

As we pray for Wales, pray for:

  • The Lord to heal the deep wounds in our nation, and for the people of Wales to find wholeness in discovering that they are beloved in Christ.
  • Welsh- and English-language churches to work together, and for gospel communities to be planted in the darkest and most unreached corners of the nation.
  • Any spirit of inferiority to be broken off the emerging generation, and for young people across Wales to be full of courage to partner with the Spirit in renewing the land.
