Right now the world feels like a dark and desperate place, but we have a hope and a joy in the knowledge of Christ. So this advent, as we wait in anticipation for Christs birth, our theme is ‘Light the Night’.
We are focusing on Jesus, the light of the world, coming to earth in human form, and humbly seeking His kingdom here on earth, through prayer, mission and justice, so that we might shine the light of Christ to others in our communities.
There are so many ways you can get involved personally, as a family or as a community so check out the different sections on this page and get involved.
We’d love to invite you to run a Prayer Room this advent. To help you with some ideas, we have created a BRAND NEW advent activity pack.
This includes six new prayer stations to help your community pray creatively. Three of these are specifically designed by our Prayer Spaces in Schools team, perfect for use with young people or in schools.
If you haven’t already make sure you register your room for further resources and support!
‘The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.’ – John 1:5
How would you like to be a part of a community across Great Britain sharing the hope and light of Christ this advent? Our vision is to see HOPE shared across our nation, each evening, as we join together to spread joy, by lighting a candle of hope in our windows.
Our Prayer Spaces in Schools team have built some brilliant resources to help children and young people to pray during Advent.
If you are planning a Prayer Space in a school, we’d love for you to register your Space. Although these activities have been build for school Prayer Spaces, we also encourage you to use them in other places, such as at home or in youth groups.
24-7 Youth will be hosting youth prayer events over the course of advent, and will have advent-themed prayer stations at each event! Head to our Youth Page to find out more…
